How To Get Rid Of Mucus

About Me

Hi, my name is Sue Jameson, and I am not a doctor.  I am a consumer.  I struggled for many years with chronic sinusitis, and unfortunately, doctors didn't help me.

As a young adult, I had sinus infection after sinus infection.  Doctors treated me with antibiotics, and the sinus infections would get better for a little while.  But even when I wasn't sick, I had mucus in my nose, in my sinuses, and draining down my throat.  Inevitably, the infection would come back and I'd get another round of antibiotics.  Soon my immune system was shot, and it seemed like I was sick all the time.

My ENT recommended surgery - all of my sinuses (yep, the frontal, ethmoid, maxillary, and sphenoid sinus cavities) had scar tissue from the repeated infections, as well as some polyps.  I didn't think there was any other option, so I went ahead with the operation to remove the scar tissue and polyps from my sinuses.  It was extremely painful, but it did improve my health for a little while.  I didn't have any sinus infections in the first year after the surgery, but I still continued to have a significant amount of mucus drainage.  Then the infections started again.  I was back in the vicious cycle of chronic sinusitis and excessive mucus.

I finally took my health into my own hands, and I am now primarily mucus-free!  (A little bit of thin mucus is normal and healthy - it's how your body gets rid of dust, pollen, etc.  But mucus should never get in the way of your health.)  I started this website to share some of the things I tried - what worked and what didn't.  I am so enthusiastic about the products that DID work, that I've partnered with the companies that market them. I will receive a small commission if you decide to purchase any of the products through this site. Hope you find something here that helps you!

To your health,
